Ah, it's finally time to relax and work on a new Paint By Numbers project. I take out my supplies on my work surface, shine a light on the canvas I've already painted a few spots on, and before I can say anything, I notice that one of the paint cans is left open from the last time I painted it, leaving only a memory of the wet paint.
Does this sound familiar? What should I do?
Tips for preserving paint
An open can of paint dries quickly.
Use only one paint at a time and remember to close the paint can tightly as soon as you are finished using that paint. After you have finished painting, it is a good idea to check that all the cans are closed!

Store paint cans in an airtight place, protected from light.
A tight plastic box also works great for storing paints. So you can store Paint By Numbers paints in the same box! A plastic bag, for example, also works as a quick solution for storing paints.
If the paint dries out for some reason, try running it with a couple of drops of water.
